Myrelion, the Sunken City
Governance
Myrelion is ruled by King Nereus Thalorian. His rule is built on deep tradition, where loyalty and honour are of great importance to the Myrelions.
Myrelion is a city born of necessity, shaped by divine intervention and the struggle for survival. Once a thriving coastal stronghold, it was cast beneath the waves by Tethym himself during the Long Eclipse, an act of desperate salvation as Nelthares threatened to consume its people in shadow. The ocean swallowed Myrelion, but its inhabitants endured, transformed by the depths, their bodies adapting to a new existence in the abyss.
For centuries, Myrelion remained silent, its people reshaping their society beneath the waves, learning the ways of the ocean and forging a life where the surface world was little more than a distant memory. It was only in the last decade that they began to emerge once more, their envoys stepping onto Thauriga’s shores with measured curiosity, seeking to reconnect while preserving the identity they built in isolation. Their return is careful and deliberate—less a triumphant reawakening and more a slow rediscovery, as they navigate the delicate balance between their ancient past and the world that changed in their absence.
