Mortal Heritages

Aasimar

Rare but revered, aasimar are mortal bloodlines touched by divine favor, their existence seen as both a gift and a burden. Their luminous presence often draws awe or fear, and they are expected to embody the virtues of the gods who blessed their ancestors. Many seek purpose in the temples of Kaldras, while others wander, feeling the weight of celestial expectation upon their souls.

Dragonborn

Dragonborn roam Thauriga as free as their draconic ancestors, bound not by borders but by heritage and legend. Their clans wander as warriors, mercenaries, and seekers of lost relics, carrying echoes of dragonkind’s forgotten empires.

Dwarf

The steadfast people of Vothar, dwarves are master artisans and warriors, their city-fortress standing as proof of their unyielding resilience. Bound by ancestral oaths and the pursuit of perfection, they hold loyalty and craftsmanship above all. Whether smithing weapons of legend or holding the line in battle, dwarves are the foundation upon which empires stand – or crumble.

Human

The dominant people of Thauriga, humans adapt, innovate, and thrive in nearly every corner of the world. Some are devout followers of the gods, others seek their own path, shaping history with ambition and ingenuity. From the bustling markets of Kaldras to the war-forged streets of Vothar, their diversity is both their greatest strength and their deepest challenge.

Goliath

Towering wanderers of the Azure Coast’s mountains, goliaths live in small, hardy villages carved into unforgiving terrain. Strength is their virtue, endurance their creed. For them, the world is a test—every storm, every climb, every battle is an opportunity to prove one’s worth. They respect courage above all, holding their own legends close and forging new ones with every challenge faced.

Leonin

The godless warriors of the eastern savannah, the Leonin believe survival is earned through strength, not divine favor. Their independence is unwavering, their rejection of the gods absolute. They live by their own code, their prides forming tight-knit bonds, defending their lands with unwavering conviction.

Minotaur

Nomadic warriors roaming the Northern Plains, minotaurs follow ancient tribal laws, bound by strength and tradition. Their herds move with the seasons, clashing with rival warbands and defending sacred sites scattered across their lands. To outsiders, they may seem untamed, but within their ranks, honor and discipline reign.

Orc

Fierce survivors, orcs thrive in rugged territories, their strongholds hidden in deep mountain passes and battle-scarred valleys. Some orcs live by the old ways, in warbands bound by strength and trial, while others have integrated into city life, seeking fortune beyond the battlefield. Regardless of where they stand, they are known for their unshakable will and enduring ferocity.

Satyr

Wild, indulgent, and utterly unpredictable, satyrs are the mischievous dwellers of Thauriga’s forests, living for revelry and excess. Their lives are filled with song, drink, and passionate adventure—yet beneath their carefree veneer lies cunning and curiosity. They embrace chaos, thrive in temptation, and often leave behind tales of scandal, laughter, or disaster wherever they go.

Tiefling

Scattered across the world, yet never fully trusted, tieflings bear the marks of Nelthares’ corruption – horns, tails, unnatural eyes. Some reject their ancestry, seeking redemption, while others embrace the power that lingers in their blood. Though rare, they can be found in all corners of Thauriga, walking the razor’s edge between fate and fear.

Triton

The people of Myrelion, Tritons are creatures of the deep, shaped by the abyss and the secrets it holds. Their mastery of the sea makes them unparalleled navigators, diplomats between worlds, and scholars of forgotten tides. Most stay within the sunken city, but the rare adventurer can be seen exploring Thauriga every now and again.
